A History of Experience and Innovation: Ricamificio Valsesia
Ricamificio Valsesia was born in 1981,, founded by two visionary sisters, Silvana and Alessandra Vezzù from Gattinara. Silvana, with a great experience in the industry and the title of “master” in her heart, had the burning desire to start her own embroidery business, and she did so with the help of her determined sister, Alessandra.
Their first workshop was established in Gattinara, on Via Balbo, where the two women began with only one used ZSK embroidery machine, supplemented by three more units. Silvana focused on preparing garments and pieces, while Alessandra worked directly on the machines, creating the first embroideries.
By the mid-1990s, customer demand was growing exponentially, forcing the sisters to seek a larger space to meet the increasing requests. In 1991, they moved to Corso Valsesia in Gattinara, where they bought additional embroidery machines, including a ZSK machine adaptable for embroidering caps and a 12-head Tajima machine with a laser bridge.
Silvana and Alessandra continued to work tirelessly side by side, constantly improving the quality of their products and production efficiency. However, a change occured when Alessandra decided to retire in 2000, making way for her nephew, Gabriele Boccalate, Silvana’s son.
Young Gabriele, fascinated by the world of embroidery, not only decided to support his mother but also acquired the majority of the company shares, becoming the new face of the company. In 2010, the need for space and an increasing demand led to the decision to relocate the company to a larger facility, which is the current 800-square-meter warehouse on Via Giulio Cesare Ottaviano 37/39, in Gattinara.
In the following years, Ricamificio Valsesia made a clear choice: specializing in the processing of noble fibers such as cashmere, camel, alpaca and merino wool. This decision led to the acquisition of two adhesive machines, enabling specific processing on these exquisite fibers.
Today,
Ricamificio Valsesia represents a unique blend of experience and innovation, continuing to serve customers with high-quality products and a constant commitment to textile perfection. Our story is the story of a company that has embraced change but has preserved the artisanal values that have made it an icon in the world of embroidery.

Founder of Ricamificio
Silvana represents the cornerstone and starting point of Ricamificio Valsesia as it is known today. He is responsible for organizing and preparing the work that the employees will carry out on the machines throughout the day and directly interacts with customers to welcome and meet their needs.
